According to today's guest, Ben Stuart, the pastor of Passion City Church in Washington D.C., a lot of us underestimate the complexity of what’s happening beneath the surface in our soul and spirit and then never find peace and victory that’s sustainable. That's why he argues that we must fight for rest and why struggle in life is so necessary for our development. For Ben, this struggle, this fight, was true when he had to lay face down and lived sick each day because of the side effects of the medications after major back surgery. And it took a toll on his emotional health. You'll hear more about that and more in today's conversation with Ben Stuart. If you enjoy this episode with Ben, I'm sure you'll also enjoy:

This week, my good friend, Jordan Lee Dooley is here to talk about how she and her husband, Matt, have navigated unmet expectations, deferred hope, health crises, and what happened when she found herself in a place of reevaluating everything in her life. Disrupted, delayed, or even seemingly destroyed dreams have a way of making us rethink everything. But perhaps that's not always the worst thing. In those moments, you and I have a chance to pause and consider what matters most to us in a world that’s constantly telling us what we should want or should do.
