This Week's Featured Conversation... In the last year or so, I’ve come to develop fondness for those that are not only strong in leadership and personal character, but strong in a quality not one of us can truly live without: resilience. And 100% of the time, resilience is a choice. We all face circumstances outside our control. That’s called life. But where a lot of deep-seeded character “muscle” is planted is when we refuse to buckle under the pressure of whatever obstacle is in our way. What is it for you? A bad boss? A hurtful relationship? Financial strain? A lack of clients and business growth? Disappointment? Today, we’re talking with my good friend, CEO of Aerial Development Group, in Nashville, Tennessee, Britnie Turner. I’ve watched her life up close and from afar, and there’s something she has that we all can glean from. And that’s resilience. And stay tuned, right after my conversation with Britnie, speaker and business development coach, Joe Pici, joins me for this week’s quick tip on breaking the back of fear in your life. This Week's Conversation Why is it that you automatically click with some people, while others seem to grate on your last nerve?" Because we’re all different. And that’s perfectly fine—our differences are what make us unique and interesting. But they can also lead to conflict within our personal and professional relationships. That’s why understanding your personality type is so important. When you understand yourself—and the people around you—you can relate in a kinder, more compassionate, more effective way; a way that builds trust. Unlike aptitude tests or other personality tests, DiSC focuses on the behavioral differences that lead to difficulties in life and how to find common ground with others. And this conversation isn’t just for professional relationships; it’s for every relationship in your life. Get Your DiSC Personality Profile Purchase your custom DiSC Personality Profile HERE. This Week's Featured Conversation Many people listening to this broadcast are overwhelmed and wondering, "I know there’s more. But I don’t know if I have what it takes. Is it too late to recover? Am I too late to find lasting healing and success?" Or maybe, "I keep trying to move forward but I keep hitting a wall in this area of my life.” Maybe it’s a relationship. Maybe it’s a nagging addiction. Maybe it’s a performance issue at work. Well today, we’re going to bring you clarity about the fact that knocking-out deep-rooted habits and issues comes by treating the issue, not just the symptoms. Joining us today is author and speaker, Carlos Whittaker. Many of you have heard of him, but you may not know the full spectrum of his story. This gonna be raw and pretty unfiltered. But I want you to know that if he can come out on top, you can too. This Week's Quick Tips Stay tuned, right after my conversation with Carlos, business coach, speaker, and trainer, Joe Pici joins me to give you a few very simple, very actionable tools to become more self-aware, which is so necessary in order to live a confident, successful life, both inside and outside. This Week's Featured Conversation... Unless you’re self-employed, here’s an honest question: are you letting your lack of authority paralyze you? Most people I know have a desire to increase in their authority in the workplace. But one of the greatest myths of true leadership is that you must be in charge in order to lead. I’ll tell you this: the greatest leaders don't buy into the myth. Great leaders lead with or without the authority and learn to extend their influence wherever they are. So we have a problem: many people, maybe you, are frustrated with the fact that you feel overlooked for the promotion you want and unheard for the skills, talents, and ideas you have. Well today, author of How to Lead When You’re Not In Charge, Clay Scroggins, is going to help us nurture our vision and cultivate influence, even when we lack authority in our organization. And I believe his message will free you to become the great leader you want to be so you can make a difference right where you are. Even when you're not in charge. This Week's Quick Tips... We're talking with with renowned financial advisor, author, and speaker, George Wells, steps to engage in more meaningful connection with loved ones, clients, and co-workers. George Wells is the author of the brand-new book, Think Differently, available right now on Amazon. This Week's Featured Conversation... Most of us live lives that simply conform to the patterns of the world around us. And even with the best of intentions, we tend to settle for simply mimicking what we perceive as greatness rather than pursuing a living knowledge and connected understanding that informs us about how to live in our day-to-day lives most effectively. So in our conversation with Jamie Winship, we're going to talk about how to develop the perceptiveness, intuition, and empathy necessary to engage with the people in our lives in a more meaningful, wholehearted manner. The result? You will have the practical tools to powerfully connect with (and initiate) transformation with the people in your life. This Week's Quick Tips... Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not. Boundaries impact all areas of our lives: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. In today’s conversation, world-renowned co-author of Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No To Take Control of Your Life, Dr. John Townsend joins us to discuss these issues and more. Plus... As I mentioned at the top of the show, I’m giving away a few copies of Dr. Townsend’s book, “Boundaries.” Here’s how to get your copy: 1.) Write a review of “Win Today” on iTunes. Once your review posts (and it takes a couple days), take a screenshot of your review and email it to me at chris@leadtoequip.com. The first three people to do so will win a free copy of Boundaries. Thanks again for tuning in today. Make sure you re-listen and share this episode with friends. I really believe the principles Dr. Townsend shared with us will make a lasting difference upon the relationships that matter most in our lives.

I don’t think anyone goes through life hoping to fail in their romantic relationship. But some people do. Worse, some relationships exist without thriving. If you’re single and think, I’m a good catch. Why can’t I seem to make this work? This episode is for you. If you’re engaged or married, you better not stop dating well just because you said, “I do." Today, the one and only Danny Silk joins me to talk about the hot-button issue of romance. There’s a reason some people are better at relationships than others. There’s a reason some people are surrounded by loyal friends and coworkers. And there’s a reason why—be it on a personal or professional level—some people just need some help perhaps because they’re lacking the know-how, or they are confused, tired, lonely, and feel totally isolated. In this week's episode, you'll learn six key stages of great relationships on all levels. Nothing suffocates your potential, exaggerates the suspense of life's unknown, and drives pain deeper into your soul and spirit more than fear; specifically, the spirit of fear. This week, I'm going to expose the roadblock that might be impeding your path to reaching your destiny. In fact, without destroying this root, you very well may be ruining your life...without even knowing it.

What is your biggest problem or place of unrealized potential? What are you searching for in life? What is the number one thing in your life that needs to be pulled out of the pit, kicked off the couch, or set ablaze with purpose? Think about it right now. Got it? Well in just a moment, you and I will be joined by international best-selling author of The Healing Code, Dr. Alexander Loyd, and I’m going to be asking him about how to transform life from stressful to successful. Plus, after the show, I have a great bonus for you. Recapping Today's Conversation... The solution to your trouble is NOT by trying harder. In fact, by “trying harder,” you’re striving and putting your body into more stress. Virtually every problem or lack of happiness and success comes from an internal state of fear in some form––even physical problems. And every internal state of fear results from a deficit of love in relation to that particular issue. And finally, the subconscious mind is 1 million times more powerful than the conscious mind, which means that your internal programming will override ANY and ALL decisions and success goals you make. So get successful on the inside if you want to see it manifest on the outside. About Dr. Alexander Loyd Alex Loyd, Ph.D., N.D. holds doctorates in Psychology and Naturopathic Medicine. His 12-year search for a cure for his wife's depression led to the discovery of The Healing Codes system to heal the source of virtually any physical, emotional, success, or relational issue.

We’ve all heard the term, “starving artists.” The notion is that those who create businesses, products, art, and even services remain holed-up in hopes of someday finding success. But today, you’ll learn that business and art are not mutually exclusive pursuits. In fact, success in business and in life flow from a healthy exercise of creativity. Joining us today is my friend Jeff Goins, author of the critically-acclaimed book Real Artists Don’t Starve, and I’ll be asking him why your passion can pay the bills and why now is the time to be creative and share your gift with the world. It’s pretty obvious that the most successful people not only embrace change, they run after it. Yet for so many of us, transition in any area of life is more than annoying; it’s painful. In today’s conversation, you and I will be hearing from a good friend and mentor in my own life, Jamie Winship, and I’ll be asking him about how to navigate through transition, why we avoid pain, and how to step into making those early, meaningful dreams in your own life come to pass. If you take anything away from today’s conversation, I want you to remember this: know who you are and be willing to take a step into the unknown in favor of encountering the purpose for which you were created. As mentioned on the show, Jamie and his wife, Donna, oversee and organization called Identity Exchange-IDX-which you can locate at identityexchange.com. Listen, my friend, life is too short to live in self-protection and self-promotion. No one will ever keep you from stepping into your purpose. But a faulty belief system very well could. Pursue a renewed mind. Pursue wholeness. Maybe you’re overwhelmed and wondering, I know there’s more. But I don’t know if I have what it takes. Is it too late? Am I too late? I keep trying to move forward but I keep hitting a wall in most areas of my life. Maybe you’re afraid of looking back at life in a year (or five years) and having to ask yourself “how did I end up here?” If that’s you, pick-up the phone right now. Call me at 248-266-2945 and tell me a bit of your story.

Our present-tense sense of identity and purpose, the world around us, and our ability to cope with both relationships and the demands of daily life are significantly shaped by our belief system, emotional health, and past experiences; experiences that literally create cellular memories on our DNA. Simply stated, our internal root system brings clarity and understanding as to why we make the decisions we make. Joining me today is renown speaker and coach, Chris LoCurto, and I’m going to be talking to him about exactly that subject. Recapping today’s conversation… Chris talked about how we are the sum of our past and our influences. But our present and future don’t have to be negatively affected by the past if we are willing to take steps toward healing and wholeness. If you’re a brand-new listener, I say THANK YOU for investing your time into growing and becoming a better version of yourself through this show. Would you do me a favor? Two weeks ago, we began a series about dismantling roots of rejection in your life. In week one, we discussed the roots of rejection. Last week, we talked about the response to rejection. And today, we’re diving into a subject I am very passionate about: the remedy for rejection. Joining me once again this week is, Dave Bauer, and together, we’re going to give you strategies to apply to your daily life. Healing the root system in your life isn’t a one-time decision. It’s a daily decision. The best time to start dealing with these issues was probably yesterday. The second-best time? Right now. So let’s get to it. Recapping today’s conversation... You aren’t loved because you perform well. And if that’s what you grew-up thinking, allow us to say that you have a loving God, a Father, who delights in you…for you. It doesn’t mean we don’t have things to work on, but it means that while we are in the process of maturing, we have the safety and security of a God Who chose us. Practically-speaking, you need to create a greenhouse environment in your spirit and soul that will reject the seed. If the soil and the environment are not right for the seed of rejection's growth, the seed will die. How do you combat lies and untruths that come in seed form? You capture them before they take root in your thought life, then you subject them to truth, then you reject them as often and out loud as necessary. Don’t miss episode 052. I’m speaking with a renown speaker, author, and coach named Chris LoCurto, and together, we’re going to help you determine whether your personal potential is EXPLODING or IMPLODING.

Last week, we began a series about dismantling roots of rejection in your life. Remember I said that if we want to eliminate the fruit of rejection in life, we must first eliminate the roots of rejection. If you missed episode 049, go back, download it, and lay what I believe is a critical foundation for today’s conversation, which is all about the response to rejection. In other words, we tend to take on an identity that is reflective of the root system of our soul. Our non-verbal communication speaks. Our actions speak. And our words obviously speak. Joining me today is a key voice in my life, Dave Bauer, and together, we’re going to give you tools to breakdown the walls that have been built around you as a result of living life through the lens of rejection.
May 16, 2017
Beneath the surface of disappointment, unmet expectations, past mistakes, hopelessness, and insecurity resides a root system whose capacity has within itself the potential to cripple the hopes, dreams, and the motivation to live a life characterized by significance. What is that root system? It is the roots of rejection. This week, I’m starting a three-part series on rejection, and my aim is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to uproot and dismantle the stronghold of rejection in your life. Here’s how it’s going to work. This week, we’re discussing the roots of rejection. Next week, we’ll tackle the response to rejection. In other words, what is our life’s posture after having been infected by rejection. And two weeks from now, we’ll finish by discussing the remedy for rejection. I’ve not felt so strongly about any particular subject because it feeds fear and shame and causes destruction throughout one’s entire life.

My friends, this is going to be a fun show. This week, we’re going to recap clips from a few of the ten most-listened-to episodes of “Win Today.” Get this: “Win Today” has been downloaded over 12,000 times this year. That blows my mind. And it also tells me that some subjects are resonating with you all more than others. And that’s precisely why I want to highlight some of our best moments together. As for me, those stats communicate to me that people just like you…people just like me…are hungry to live an effective, intentional life that is free from fear, shame, guilt, insecurity, and the rest of that junk. Listen. I know I probably sound like a broken record right now, but I’m going to say it again: it is NEVER too late to become the best you’re capable of becoming. And this process of becoming whole and staying whole isn’t a one-time goal. It’s a process. So give yourself a BREAK from perfectionism and enjoy the journey. If you’re a brand-new listener, I say THANK YOU for investing your time into growing and becoming a better version of yourself through this show. Would you do me a favor? Go to iTunes, either from the podcast app on your phone or from your desktop computer, and write a kind review of Win Today? It’d mean a lot to me.

This week on the show, I am so excited to continue our conversation with Britnie Keane, the founder and CEO of Aerial Development Group in Nashville, Tennessee. If you missed last week’s episode, please download it and listen. In today’s conversation, Britnie will teach us about staying focused on our purpose, even through pain. In fact, be willing to the things that people might not understand in favor of our purpose. Life is not about gaining the approval of people. It’s about being faithful. In this episode… You’ll learn about what the equation of excellence + impact will yield in your own life. Why excellence expressed through your life gains the attention of others to listen to your core passion. You will become what you behold. In other words, what you focus upon flourishes in your life, whether good or bad. How to believe truth instead of lies concerning your life and future. God’s thoughts toward you are better than your thoughts toward you. Why you should only heed the advice of people you want to emulate. Ask yourself, “would I want my life to look like their life?” How to not self-sabotage. Be willing to the things that people might not understand in favor of your purpose. Life is not about gaining the approval of people. It’s about being faithful. Why obstacles are not closed doors. If you’re not willing to overcome obstacles, you’re leaving 90% of what God has for you on the table. Connect with Britnie Facebook Instagram Twitter BritnieKeane.com

When we recognize that the greatest level of fulfillment in life comes by way of adding value to others and being a contributor, our choices take on much greater significance. Yet, too many people get discouraged and stuck because of past personal defeat, disadvantages, and disappointments. Joining us today is Britnie Keane. She is the epitome of hard-work, an overcoming spirit, and a true contributor who is changing the lives of thousands across the globe through her multimillion dollar organization, Aerial Development Group. And today, she joins us to challenge and inspire us to overcome the disadvantages that threaten to keep us locked in mediocrity. In this episode… "You can’t play the same way you’ve always played and expect to get to the next level.” “If you’re called to do something big and something that has never been done before, you will go through training so you can handle it successfully." You have one life to live. How will you invest your time? Who are you building? What will you do with your life? Why you should write your eulogy today. The exercise of doing so will help create the clarity and focus you need to live an intentional life, one that is marked by significance and impact. Imagine person to whom you poured out your heart. Someone in whom you placed high esteem and respect. Someone you wanted to emulate. Someone whose values made you want to be a better man (or woman). Someone you considered to be family. Someone, who in an instant, became the target for the full breadth of your emotional onslaught. Someone who planted a loaded Judas Kiss right on your mug and betrayed your trust. How do you cope? How do you recover? I’ll be exploring those thoughts and more with my good friends, Chris and Megan Rea, from No Small Life. Just for YOU... Swinging in another direction, I want to make you aware of a project I’m working on, and it involves you. For a very limited time, I’m offering a FREE 30-minute personal growth phone consultation to the FIRST five men and first five women that call me. So pickup the phone and call my studio line right now. Here's the number: 248-266-2945. Leave me a message with your full name and email address. Please spell your email address if necessary. If you’re one of the 10, I’ll reply with further instructions to setup your consultation. Listen, I’m only doing this for the first five men and first five women that call, so don’t delay. Your free consultation is worth $87. And guess what? You won’t get a bill at the end of our session!

Imagine if we walked around wearing signs that read, “Reject me,” “I fear commitment,” “I’m a victim of life,” “I don’t like myself; you shouldn’t like me ether.” Ridiculous, right? Well as it turns out, that’s exactly what happens when we project fear, insecurity, victimization, rejection, insignificance, and shame onto other people through non-verbal and verbal communication. If we’re victims, we often attract rescuers. If we’re insecure, we often attract those who reject. And if we’re passive, we often lay a welcome mat for controllers. So how do you look for love in all the...right places? Find out this week as I’m joined once again by my good friends, Chris & Megan Rea.
