Turn on the news, turn on pop culture, and you’ll see a confused, embittered, orphaned society. And I think one of the first things we need to do is reclaim true masculine and feminine identity in 2018 amidst the cultural trend of emasculating men and de-feminizing women in so many forums. Joining us today to tackle these topics is a very well-known voice, Dale Partridge. Dale is a nationally-known bestselling author, founder of StartupCamp.com, and is an avid speaker and has been featured in various business publications including the cover of Entrepreneur Magazine, Fox News, NBC, INC Magazine, Mashable, MSN Money, Forbes and the Los Angeles Times. Today, we’ll be exploring parenting to dating and marriage, to sexuality, to even some of the disjointed values society is propagating. And then, we’ll be, as Dale says, "replacing the lies culture tells us about family & faith with truth that can't be ignored.” Connect with Dale ...on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter Buy Dale's Books Every day major headlines tell the story of a new and better American marketplace. Established corporations have begun reevaluating the quality of their products, the ethics of their supply chain, and how they can give back by donating a portion of their profit to meaningful causes. Meanwhile, millions of entrepreneurs who want a more responsible and compassionate marketplace have launched a new breed of socially focused business models. Sevenly founder Dale Partridge uncovers the seven core beliefs shared by consumers, starters, and leaders behind this transformation. These beliefs have enabled Dale to build a multimillion-dollar company that is revolutionizing the marketplace. He believes they are the secret to creating a sustainable world that values honesty over deception, transparency over secrecy, authenticity over hype, and ultimately, people over profit. Buy People Over Profit: Break the System, Live with Purpose, Be More Successful now. In Launch Your Dream, Partridge distills the essence of that course into a hyper-practical, 30-day journey for readers looking to follow their passions and realize their dreams. In clear, easily grasped steps, he teaches readers how to hone their ideas, build an audience, construct an online presence, launch a business, master social media, craft a beautiful brand, and create experiences that keep customers from ever considering competitors. Sharing time-saving "smartcuts" to make readers more efficient, Partridge also helps them identify and resolve business-killing blind spots. For anyone looking simply to make money on the side or seeking to become a millionaire, for the CEO or the stay-at-home mom, for the would-be entrepreneur or the freelancer, Launch Your Dream provides the steps necessary to begin living your dream in just 30 days. In Saved from Success, Partridge offers readers a life preserver to rescue their future from culture's backward definition of family, work, and the good life. With straight talk and without mincing words, he offers readers a bold vision for charting their lives. But, he says, these ideas are not his. They are part of God's blueprint for living. Each chapter provides a sharp contrasting picture of "what culture says" with "what God wants for us." Peppered with Scripture verses, sprinkled with gripping personal stories, and packed with practical advice, Saved from Success is the book millions of burned-out and bedraggled Americans have been waiting for. We see the world not as it is, but as we are. What does that mean? The climate of our inner self (our thought life, spiritual health, and emotional health) will inform how we see ourselves and everyone in the world around us. So what does that mean for you and me? We may be looking at life through distorted glasses so-to-speak. Our past experiences, most certainly including childhood experiences, play a huge part in how we see our present and how we anticipate the future (for good or for bad). So what this comes down to is emotional health. I believe that emotional healing is good. But emotional wholeness is better. Joining me today to discuss this matter is my friend and mentor, bestselling author of “Undone,” Michele Cushatt. And together, we’re going to dive deep into strategies on how to live more consistently in a state of emotional wholeness. Buy Michele's Books With enough humor to ease the rawness of the story, Undone: A Story of Making Peace With an Unexpected Life takes the reader on a roller coaster two-year journey through the unexpectedness of life. A look back makes Michele long for a do-over, the chance to make fewer mistakes and leave less of a mess to clean up. A look forward makes Michele wonder if all her attempts to control life have robbed her of the vibrancy of it. And, in the middle of this internal chaos, she finds her once-pristine house filled with the sights and sounds of three small, uncontainable children who just want to be loved. In the end, Undone turns complication into a beautiful canvas, angst into joy, and the unknown into an adventure, revealing that sometimes life’s most colorful and courageous stories are written right in the middle of the mess. The pressure to do more, be more has never been more intense. Online marketing. Self-help books. Movies, magazines and gym memberships. Even church attendance and social media streams have become a means of comparing ourselves to impossible standards. Am I pretty enough? Hip enough? Spiritual enough? We fear the answer is “No.” When a brutal bout with cancer changed how she looked, talked, and lived, Michele Cushatt embarked on a soul-deep journey to rediscover herself. The typical self-esteem strategies and positivity plans weren’t enough. Instead, she needed a new foundation, one that wouldn’t prove flimsy when faced with the onslaught of day-to-day life. 2018 is underway and we all have an opportunity to harness the values that drive our lives. In talking with so many of you toward the end of last year, I really feel like so many of us want to dive into the new year unencumbered by limiting beliefs, insecurities, and even fear about what can happen moving forward. And that’s where we’re going to land today. If you’re new to the show, welcome. But if you’ve been around for a while, you’ve heard me say, “we don’t know what we don’t know.” And that’s why we need to regularly position ourselves in front of leaders—sages if you will—who not only have the skills, but have the experience to provide clear-but navigation through things like insecurity in leadership. Joining us today is someone I consider to be one of those sages: Carey Nieuwhof. Together, we’re going to unpack some linchpin keys to breaking the back of insecurity in your life as well as provide some keys to bringing greater focus and intentionality to your own leadership in 2018. And stay tuned, right after my conversation with Carey, real estate development expert, Britnie Turner, joins me for this week’s quick tip on making smart real estate choices in today’s economy.
